I’m about to start a porcelain patio install at my house and before I get started I need to figure out how to manage the DPC and the height of the tiles at the patio doors.
The current deck comes up to the level of the patio door which I’m assuming is above DPC. I’d like to install the porcelain at this height but obviously I need the 150mm from DPC.
I’ve included a photo from the front of my house where I just installed a patio and it shows the DPM at the right of the door. Can I assume this will be the height of the DPM at the rear of the house as well?
House is cavity wall, 2004 build. If I can’t tile up to the height of the current decking and add channel drains, would my best option be to build a low step along the rear perimeter?
