-2 is the correct one for Motorhomes, Caravans etc.,. allegedly more 'rugged' construction for mobile use.
-1 is domestic use.
That said the one fitted to my touring caravan was before that -2 Standard came out and it survived.
Not sure what airport security might make of such a device in hand or checked in luggage?
One with a digit display of CO in ppm and removable battery may be best for reassurance?

Thanks for your reply. Following your link, I got on to Kidde and they advised that their Kidde K5CO
would meet my requirements. Can pick one up actually on holiday and it’s so cheap it wouldn’t matter if it was confiscated at the airport on the way home.

Aren’t they all portable ? Never seen one too big to move.
