hi! i have a potterton combi 100 which is always breaking down . In the last 7 years 3 pumps ,2 circit boards,one temp sensor,i guage> any one else had any problems it has a fault at least every year and bg thank goodness service it! does any one else have problems with pottertons or other makes or is it just a one off,i am not saying the make is poor as in the past they have been good! thankyou!

Three pumps in seven years implies the system water is dirty and failing the pumps.
I am slightly surprised that BG are covering those but they will still make a healthy profit from your cover.
If you lived next door I could have given you seven years cover for just £700 , you probably paid BG about £1200 !

thankyou for your reply! i had it flushed about two years ago and i am not sure why the pumps keep going wrong but i expect you are right about the money paid out covers it;will keep an eye out on your suggestion!
