Hello all.
1st post.
Ive got an old potterton flamingo 50s in my house. Ive been here a year, which i suspect is about 20 years less than the boiler....
Anyway, after a summer of little use other than boiling a bit of water for the dishes twice a week i put the heating on on Monday. After about an hour the boiler started making a noise which sounded a little bit like the tardis from doctor who !!
I switched it off, and when i tried it again last night it made the same noise again after about an hour. Obviously something is broken. My guess would be the pump ? But i cant get the white cover off the boiler.
Is it the two screws at the bottom ?
It doesnt seem very obvious.

Any advice gratefully received.

Take the white cover off all you want the pump is not in there , it will be elsewhere in the house
