Please can you help. I have a potterton housewarmer 45 boiler, and for a while now, the pilot light will stay in but the burner flames go out. There doesnt seem to be a specific reason why it does this but recently (in the winter) this has started to occur more often, like every couple of minutes. This means the radiators aren`t getting hot properly therefore the house is freezing. I have called out 3 different heating engineers and they all say the same, "can`t seem to find fault, buy a new one". I thought it might be the thermostat but it seems ok in the summer. Please help!!!!! :(
p.s. When the flames go out the system will try to light itself and then timeout, so we have to reset it.

The pilot light stays in but the burner flames go out. Then the ignition click a few times (even though the pilot is still on), and sometimes the burner flames do come back on but more often than not the system times out and I have to manually reset it. Once I reset the system it usually starts up but sometimes it times out again. This could happen a few times. There isn`t a leek and the gas pressure is ok (these have been checked by the engineer).
Does this help?
