The other day I was woken early morning when the central heating made a lot of gurgling sounds and a sudden gush of hot water came out of the vent into the ch header tank causing a quick rush of water out of the overflow pipe.
This seemed like an air lock to me (not a heating eng) When cleared CH works ok but not getting hot water to my cylinder ???? would it be the thermistor on my potterton. (gravity fed )

PS correction, hot water is going in to the cylinder but not coming out at the top of the cylinder.
