Hi,

I have a potterton lynx 2 boiler in my flat and I notced this morning when the water wouldn't heat up that the pressure had gone, so I filled up the pressure to 1 bar as recomended, then reset the boiler by holding the restet for 10 seconds.

However there are no lights coming on at all when I run the hot water or put the heating on?

Any help would me much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I think that there is an over heat stat which will have tripped.

Its probably on the underside and needs pressing in to reset. They are usually a reddish brown colour abd about 12 mm diameter.

Be aware that your boiler is getting rather long in the tooth now!

You should also keep your eye on the pressure and keep it topped up. Letting it fall to zero can induce additional faults. Not many engineers will want to repair your boiler as they will prefer to replace it.
