Potterton Lynx 2 problem and replacement ideas

Hi all,

I have a potterton lynx 2 and it's developed a small problem of no hot water, the central heating comes on fine but turn the hw tap and lots of expectation but no lights and ignition.

It started off not working until the hw tap had been running a fair bit then worked for a while now stopped altogether.

Don't think it's a pcb issue.

Anybody available in North East London (Wood Green) or could anybody recommend anyone?

Also looking to replace it with something a bit better a new condensing boiler, could I ask what people would recommend I looking to have the loft converted with an en suite shower room so to supply two showers couple of bathroom sinks kitchen sink and about 8 rads
Again if anybody could recommend someone?
To be really cheeky and I know all jobs are different but any ideas of costs would be great?

New boiler questions get asked several times a day, so run a search and post back with more specific questions - you're looking at 2K though depending on gas pipe, condensate, part L controls etc., I like these best. We cover your area but it might be a while before we can fit anything in.

I wouldn't be so sure about the PCB on your current boiler; which we laughingly call the Potterton Jynx.

Have you tried to by-pass the flow switch yet? If you do run the tap first...

The demand light should come on. Link terminals 1 & 4 on PL4 of the PCB.
