I've recently had a Potterton Lynx 2 serviced and since then have had the following problem:
When switching the hot water tap on the boiler tries to ignite the gas but nothing happens ( can see the ignition sparking okay ) and so the boiler requires resetting. After resetting it usually works ok first time. This appears to be happening randomly as it works ok sometimes and then will not.
Any ideas?
I have not tried the central heating but assume I'd have a similar problem. Is there anything the service engineer could have done to cause this as I'd never seen the problem before?

Unlikely that the service engineer caused this as servicing really only makes sure that the appliance is working safely

sounds like your PCB to me

If I remember correctly the ol lynx 2 has one huge one, parts may be expensive but its a doddle to fit
