Hi all just wondered if someone could help, I have a powermax 155x boiler which makes a load hanging noise when trying to ignite I've looked around and sounds like a delayed ignition? Can this be fixed?
Also we can only have hot water if the central heating is turned on what's the fix for this?
I look forward to hearing some helpful advice
Thanks Ashley

When was it last properly serviced? If the answer is "some time never" then allow about 4 hours labour and £300+ in parts to get it back up and running again. They're OK boilers if looked after, but they need specialist attention to keep them in good condition. Neglect them and they get expensive.

As Ian says, if Baxi will do a fixed price repair on them that might well be your best option

Thanks for your input I have contacted baxi and they still do the fixed rate repair plan which I have set up and an engineer will be out tomorrow for inspection and just so you know the fixed rate cost is approx £360 for the year and the max expense for repairs is £1500 for the year.
You can also set up a monthly payment of £31 a month.
Thanks again
