All,

This story is prior to a bit of DIY but nevertheless is quite funny.

In my youth I had a Vauxhall Nova (like everyone else) complete with excessivey loud sound system.

My father was in Allied Carpets to buy a large carpet and I drive by with the stereo thumping. The salesman remarked "Who's that idiot" to which my dad replied "Thats my son"

Reminds me of what is probably an urban myth.

Two guys are watching a female singer from the wings.

The first guy turns to the other guy, and says "God she's awful, isn't she?"
The second guy responds "That's my wife"
The first guy terribly embarrassed, thinks quickly and says "well it's not her fault, the song is dreadful"
The second guy replies "I wrote the song for her"

I once saw an old old school friend of mine, we got chatting i asked

"whens the baby due" she replied "im not pregnant"

to which i made my excuses and left sharpish!

you should have known that th eonly time you should ever suggest a girl looks pregnant, unless she personally has told you that she is, is when you can physically see the baby emerging from her. only time it's safe. ;)

and, in case you cant guess by the username, yes, i am a girl

That's some good advice... when I was A LOT younger my friend was just a young teenager and an old couple walked over to her and said; "My God, you're way too young to be pregnant. When's the baby due?" She replied: "I'm not pregnant" shocked and amazed and the old couple just walked on showing no guilt shaking their heads... It's harsh but very true! At the time I thought it was hilarious! :p
