What grades of sandpaper you using on un painted wooden doors (pre undercoat)? and what grades for pre painted doors. I was always told to use wet n dry for pre painted doors prior to undercoat and between undercoat and gloss

I wouldn't bother sanding bare wood that is going to be painted, prime it first and then sand it with 80 grit, undercoat, sand with 120 grit, gloss. Pre painted doors that have a gloss finish need to have the sheen removed and be de-nibbed, 120 grit is fine, you can use silicone carbide if you wish but aluminium oxide will do the job too.
Don't forget the knotting solution on any knots on any bare wood before the primer.

Or use a primer that will act like a knotting agent. Something like aluminum primer or zinsser BIN.
