Morning all,

just wanted to check the best way to prep plaster prior to painting.

Basically the previous owners had painted the bathroom walls, and when we went to put our new paint on it puilled the old paint off to bare plaster.

We have since removed all of the old and new paint so the walls are back to plaster and want to make sure they are ok for the new paint. is it just a case of using watered down contractors matt emulsion prior to painting or do i need to do anything else?

thanks

Search for 'mist coat' and you should find everything you need. Just use a non vinyl matt emulsion watered down by around 10%, a couple of coats of this then you should be ready to go.
