My Worcester 35 cdiII boiler is giving me grief. When the central heating first fires up, the pressure rises to 3 bar, at which time the pressure relief valve opens and water is discharged through the overflow. Eventually the pressure reduces down to about 1.5 bar, but only after discharging about a bucketful of water. I have checked that there is pressure in the expasion vessel and this is ok. Worcester tech dept not a lot of help. Any ideas please? Thanks in advance.

Its not sufficient to just check for pressure in the EXV !

It has to be repressurised in a particular way.

See the FAQ on this site, its not perfect and I would ideally like to rewrite it but I dont have the necessarily editing rights, but it might solve your problem.
