Price for Tanking & Plastering Bedroom Wall ?

Hi All,

Was looking to get an approx feel for what it would cost to get a contractor in to sort out my gable end bedroom wall. The wall itself is approx 11 ft wide x 8 ft high and the chimney breast on this wall has given previous problems of dampness, hygroscopic salts etc ;

- remove stained bedroom wall plaster
- SBR wash
- apply two tanking coats to seal off
- replaster bedroom wall

Any help really appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. If I assume my 11 ft x 8 ft equates to 9 sq metres, then that would make the cost £162.00 using the worst scenario of £18.

The first quote I had was £725 the second £600 !

Any thoughts on why there's such a massive difference between the numbers ?
