I remember when I was in Australia, about 35 years ago, they used to run car adverts which said things like "with real imported quality"

I seem to remember that in the 80s, owning a Volvo or VW was a big deal then, I used to drive a Ford falcon panel van 4.5 litre six cylinder, it was a right lemon

There are roadworks everywhere we go. Much of them are to do with rain washing away road surfaces and land slips onto the road.
