Today I had the gas disconnected for a repair on the Gas Meter. The engineer turned of our boiler (Valliant Turbo Max 824), and since turning it back on again, it has not produced any hot water / heating.
The lights / display/ igintion switch on the control panel do not work (this may have something to do with the controls being re-routed to a thermostat downstairs - I think this is what an engineer said when he checked it a few months ago).
I have tried turning it off and on again, and each time it makes a short whirring sound like it is trying to re-start, but again no hot water (for the heating or the water)
I have turned off other gas appliances and checked the gas meter, and it doesn't move, so I am assuming that there is no gas getting to the boiler / pilot light.
Also, I do not have a manual for it (we moved into the house in October and the previous owners didn't leave a maunal with it)
It was installed new in 2004
Can anyone please help??
