Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me with a strange problem I have with my heating. It's been working perfectly up until the last couple of weeks. The system is approximately 6 years old.

The problem is that the control panel seems to keep getting the night and day mixed up. The clock time is set correctly and the temperatures for on and off are set. The problem is in the evening it has the day setting and vice versa - just change the toe temperatures around I hear you say - not that easy as it seems to be random and is not consistent with the 1st on and 2nd on times. It just seems to change by its own accord snd I keep having to hit the button to switch it from night to day and vice versat (sun picture and mood picture).

I've tried changing the batteries with no joy. Any ideas from anyone why it could be doing this?

Thanks
Mark

Hi,

Time is set to current time.

1st on/ off is 5.30-7.30
2nd on / off is 17.30 - 22.00

So it's currently 7.43 so it should be on the day time temp. It's knows this as it says 1st off but it's got the night time symbol and is therefore using the temp for when I want the heating on which is incorrect.

Cheers
Mark

It is working correctly. The problem is that you do not appear to understand how it works. :( ;)

Take the first on/off 5-30-7.30. At 5.30 the boiler comes on and heats the house up to the 'comfort' (sun) temperature. At 7.30 the boiler goes off and only comes on if the temperature drops below the 'setback' (moon) temperature.

So, as you have it set currently, the boiler will go off at 7.30 and not come on until 17.30, when it will control at the sun temperature until 22.00 when it reverts to the moon temperature overnight.

If you want the house to be warm all day, set the first off and second on to the same time, e.g 12.00 (noon).

If you are out of the house during the day, the current settings are probably OK; you don't want the house heated while you are out. At the weekend you could use the Advance button to switch from moon temperature to sun any time after 7.30. It would then stay at sun temperature until 22.00.

Thanks,

Its funny I have had it working perfectly and behaving as I would expect for the past 5 years so I seem to have somehow got myself confused about how its meant to operate (clearly) in the last few weeks. Ive gone through that logic over and over again with myself trying to sus out whats going on with it.

Thanks for clarifying..!
