We have just bought a house and need to get the kitchen redone, but have an issue with the placement of the boiler.

We need to put an electric oven and gas hob on the same wall as the boiler, about a metre away. Is this safe? What sort of distance should we be looking to have?

Our only other option is to move the boiler to another wall, but I would have thought this would be expensive?

There is no particular rule but generally if the hob is at least 500 mm away there should be no problem.

1000mm should be fine.

Of course that's the clear distance from edge of each appliance.

Don't make the mistake of putting a toaster under the boiler. Or for that matter a microwave as they are damaged by leaks from boilers!
