I’ve had a couple of false alarms last couple of weeks with my back door contact triggering the alarm.

The logs simply show an alarm on input, no supervision issues or jamming and I haven’t had any battery low warnings.

First time it happened I deleted the input and relearnt it and it was fine for just under a fortnight and then it’s happened again tonight.

Any thoughts, suggestions, similar experiences?

Thanks

Misaligned magnet or cracked / damaged reed inside contact ...post picture of alignment..

Cheers Sparky. Two photos attached. Worth saying it’s been working a treat for the last 2+ years without hiccup

Sparky I’ve attached a few more photos as I actually think they meet quite well? Does this angle help

Photo 2 shows you the door opening a bit and the sensor at that point still doesn’t trigger

3rd photo it obviously does trigger as it’s a clear break

Worth trying a new battery? Not sure if the Reed switch could be on its way out?

Cheapest option
1 new battery
2 spacer
3 replace contact
I know what I would try first ....

Will swap the battery out and see how we go

Forgive me but if the issue remains, what side needs the spacer? As I say I think they look pretty aligned so struggling a bit.

Cheers again

Cheers have swapped out the battery as a starter for ten. Will see how that goes
