No - all laminate worktops aren't the same. Some are cheap and naff.
The two brands you mention are both good quality, though. If anything I'd say Duropal was better but I don't expect there's much difference - as long as you're looking at the 40mm Prima - not the 30mm.
21 years ago we moved into our present home. When we moved in we found the previous owner decided to take the complete kitchen with them only leaving us with a sink. So later that same day I pop across the local B&Q and purchased there chipset kitchen and work top, and guess what it still going strong today.
Some people do manage to keep their cheaper kitchens and worktops going for 10 years and more ... others find they start to fall apart after a couple of years. Just depends how ... uhhm ... robust ... your family is.
