I'm trying to write an Arco lamp safely but it has a lamp socket connection I haven't come across before, see pics. Can anyone give me a steer on which wire's go in which holes and how to secure them? 1484167300172-772219704.jpg 1484167364771-1450301149.jpg

looks like a maintenance free push fit terminals - one wire in one of the small round holes on each side and and polarity shouldn't matter (open to correction)

If it is an Edison screw lamp holder, the line should be connected to the centre contact.

do you have a photo f the other side of the holder?

...but it's not the usual ES lamp holder; it has two hidden contacts so it doesn't really matter.

Thanks for all the advice. That's done the job!
