QUICK QUESTION ABOUT MY BOILER

Hi

The pressure gage on my boiler drops over a period of time and I have to fill it up every so often.

I have just installed a new mixer shower and as posted in a previous post have problems with it going hot and cold.

Have also just noticed that my boiler needle was quite low and have filled it up and shower now fluctulates in temperature slightly less.

In summary can a pressure drop on your boiler effect your shower?

Depending on the make and model of boiler, yes.

The boiler pressure needs to be maintained at around 1.2 bar cold.

Sounds like the old sludge in system problem. You have a leak, that needs sorting too.
