Quick r1+r2 question

Just a quick question
Why do we have to divide the end figure by 4?

assuming you are measuring arround a ring here,

the worst case point is the center of the ring (this can be shown through differentiation) at this point your distance from the CU is half the length of the ring (so divide by 2) and you have two paralell paths of equal length (so divide by two again)
 
so plugwash, as an example:
I get 0.15ohms off my phase
0.25ohms off my cpc
always divide ring by 4
so in my R1+R2 box the answer will be 0.10ohms?
 
you need to get to know the difference between r1 and r2. and R1 + R2.

But other than the capitals in the wrong place, yes, you are correct. You would then use this to calculate the Zs (using Ze) if you don't want to measure that aswell.
