I think he means he wants to know how to test the rcd to ensure it is operating properly. If that is the case, simply press the 'test' button.

use an rcd tester if you know some one who has one or im sure you could prob hire one

tests are

50% of the rated trip current of RCD shouldnt trip in each half cycle
100% of the rated trip current of RCD should trip the RCD in each half cycle
should trip within 200ms
500% or the rated trip current of RCD should trip the RCD in each half cycle within 40ms

functional tests on and off and test switch



if RCD is 100mamps or above only 1/2 times and 1x tests should be used
