Can anyone explain something to me....
When doing R1 + R2 method to check polarity on a radial (lighting circuit will do for this example) ... what if there was a double cross over along the circuit somewhere? The installer inadvertently reverses polarity at one rose (for example) and then reverses it back again at some point further along.... would the test at the end of the circuit show correct polarity? Just out of interest, not a real life situation.
