I have a radiator that I wanted to adjust a little so I tried to open the valve but it offers no resitance and continues to turn indefinately having no effect, it is only the first time I have had to touch the valve in the 18 months since my c.h.system was fitted. The valve is one of the new ones made to look old, I think they call them crosshead tap type and doubt that it is thrmostatic.
