RADIAL / SPUR

I think rings are a wonderful invention, especially in a house where most of the loads are light (lamps, TV, HiFi) and you can economically put in as many sockets as you desire, with good overload protection both for the circuit and for each connected appliance.

the load will be

microwave
kettle
toaster
fridge
extract
igniter on cooker
dishwasher

I will have to go away and do the maths
but i think i will be going with the radial to

if i have enough fuse space i could put the fridge
and dishwasher on own radial.

rings are ok
if not abused

it only takes a break in the ring
or some one creating parallel bridges
to cause things to go pearshaped

we are one of the few countrys that
still use them

and with the intrvention of the eu
that is about to change
