Hi

I have an upstairs radiator which has a lot of air in it. It gets warm at the bottom but not the top.

My problem is that the square valve thing in the top left of the radiator has been rounded off. That is when I try and open it using the radiator key it just spins. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I could do to try and free it? Or is it time for a new radiator????

Thanks in advance for your help,

Paul.

If you can't extract it, fit a new end cap and valve.

Ahhh right, so the bleed valve sits in another unit.

Do I need a special large square tool to get the end valve out??

Thanks for your reply.

yes it has square end with a hole in it so i doesn`t matter if you cant get screw out. i had a rad that always needed bleeding and i bought a self bleeding rad valve quite cheap and works great. any plumbers merchant will have them
