Hi there

A couple of my radiators come on when I only want one particular one on.
Turning the thermostat around does nothing. So if the thermostats need replacing is this a job for a plumbing novice? And how do I set about this task?

thanks in advance

remove TRV head, scoosh with WD40 around pin

gently work it up and down with screwdriver handle

and replace TRV head

Thanks for your advice.

- Is it vital for the boiler to be closed down whilst attempting this?

- is removal of TRV(?) head easy?

- Did you mean to say screwdriver head, rather than handle?

cheers

No

Yes - you're removing the bit thermostatic head, no pipework at all!

He meant the handle (plus maybe a pair of pliers to lift the pin if it's a bit stuck initially)
