Radiator will not get hot

Depends on the size in kilowatts of your boiler and the number of radiators you already have. Could be that the boiler is stretched to capacity and can`t cope with the extra radiator, distance from boiler to last rad etc..

The system is no different from when the rad was connected in the kitchen however I'm no expert when it comes to distance from boiler etc. Will be getting a new plumber to come take a look on Monday. Thank you for all your advice.

Don`t bother getting a plumber, he will only fix your taps if you are lucky. hey, ho, at least you will be a few pounds lighter come Tuesday and still clueless. ;) Try listening to advice.

Er have listened to all advice and we are at present trying to balance the system. I meant that if this all fails will have no alternative but to get professional help. For the heating and us it's doing our heads in.

Well we finished the balancing but the rad still didn't get hot. Got the guy back today he now says that as the two pipes coming up from the floor to the connections are from one pipe thats why it won't work?? He has now offered to give us back our money and take out the pipes and rad he fitted?? Wished we'd never started this one.
