I recently bought a Renault Clio.

My friend went with me to pick it up from the seller and he drove it home with me. While he was driving he pumped up the drivers seat at least three times until he's heat touched the roof of the car.

I though great just in case it's too low for me! He then quickly released it and dropped down instantly he's a big fella!!

Well the problem I have now is that when I try to pump it up with the handle under the seat it doesn't budge.

Any ideas anyone or would it cost a lot to have it fixed?

maybe its just got stuck,while pumping(ooooeeeerrrrr)give the seat a tug( ;) )

Take the seat out and look for any obvious damage, it may with the sudden drop 'gone overcentre' and just requires a bit of force to get it back.

Does the seat 'pump' up, suggesting a hydraulic mechanism, or does the lever just release mechanical latches, allowing the driver to lift the front of the seat by leaning back with the lever raised, then raise the back of the seat by leaning forward with the lever pushed down?
