Hello,

latest furlough project is to create a decking space between my kitchen wall and the orangery, this is an L shaped gap. Fix boards to the 2 walls under the damp proof and the fit the frame using post and post mix, the current level of the flags is a lot lower that I want the final decking to be so I am considering removing the flags and decorative stones and raising the level with some excess soil then weed barrier all still below the damp proof, the decking with then sit above this.

does this sound like a plan please? Also I will need to raise my drain, is this just a case of using some bricks to surround the drain cover or is there a better alternative.
Thanks for reading

You can do what you propose, if you like.

For the drain, normally you would insert a new gully and extension pipe into the existing and to the new level, and concrete that in.

hi, do you have a link to these products to extend my drain please?

Hi Woody,

The product you suggested does this just fit into the existing grid and extend it upwards or does it replace the whole thing please?
