Hey all. The timer bit on my heater isnt working (the bit that turns and tells the heating when to turn on and off).

I can manually turn it, and it still turns on and off as i turn the dial, but its no longer moving by itself.

Is it possible to change it for one of the newer ones? I would prefer an electronic one, rather than the current mechanical one.

Current one:
Randall 4033
(with a dial, and 2 flip switches - timed, off, on for heating and hot water)

Any advice would be good. I'm a sparky, so if its a simple case of switching from this to an electronic unit then that wont be a problem, but i just wanted to check i dont need a corgi engineer to do it.

Lordy no you don't need a Corgi for that. "Any old" programmer will do. Or just get a timer for the HW and a programmable thermostat for the CH - much better.

Sorry for the slow repsonse - no internet at my new house!
Cheers for the reply, bought a programable one today
