Rattly MCB

Just bought a new B50 Crabtree Starbreaker MCB to connect my new electric shower at the CU. The MCB rattles as if something is loose inside. Is this normal or should I return it for a replacement?

I've known them rattle.
Are the terminal screws loose?
Ask the wholesaler.

since you know it rattles, i would assume you havent put it into the CU yet. in which case its probably because the terminal screws are loose

Most MCB's rattle - it's due to the mechanism inside needing to have some tolerance for operating the magnetic tripping coil device.
