Hi

This morning i noticed there was no hot water so had a look at the boiler, i found that the pilot light was out , i got the pilot light back on , when i turned the hot water tap on in the kitchen (closest to the boiler) the boiler started to sound as if it was going to blow the side of the house up lol, sounded like the water was sitting boiling inside it, i turned it off and it was still bubbling away , i did notice some steam coming from the top of it .

as i was running late for work i just had to leave it switched off

does this sound terminal??

didn't notice what the pressure was at , im sure the gauge doesn't work anyway ..

we have British Gas homecare so fingers crossed they can fix it

thanks m8

hopefully that should be covered with homecare..

just hope they don't say the boilers to old to repair

FWIW I say pump as well.
The parts are readily available for these and usually within 3 working days where they are not in stock.
