Ravenheat Silverstar No HW or CH

Hi,

Moving out in the next week but the bioler has packed in and I don't want to leave the new owner with no heating.

The boiler is a 2 year old Ravenheat SilverStar.

Came down to no heating or HW yeaterday.

After hitting the reset button the burner now fires up briefly ( 10 secs or so) before going off again when calling for HW. It then repeats this.
When trying the CH it goes to fire up but then the flame failure light comes on .

Pressure is ok @ 1.5 Bar

Please advise. Ta.

Not familiar with this boiler, appears to be a B&Q sold Ravenheat.

Have you got any more details of the model perhaps RSF?????

This boiler does not have a pilot flame the burner is ignited electronically.

If you can reach the flue can you feel the fan blowing.

There is a Littlestar boiler - perhaps it is similar.

It's a B&Q job. an LS 80.

The fan is running. It all looks promising then it cuts out, then starts again.
The central heating just causes the flame failure light to switch on.

Didn't read your fist properly.

When the orange flame failure light comes on can it be reset by pressing in the switch.

Check you have gas - perhaps at the hob, check the meter gas valve lever isn't turned off by mistake.

Hi, It's ok I changed the first post after I had another fiddle.

There is gas at the hob and once I hit the flame failure switch it tries to fire up then fails again.

Unfortunately there is little more you can do and you are going to have to call a boiler engineer. All other checks involve gas work.
