What fault would you have with an RCD where it trips:
when you press the test button,
if you test it on a full-current EFLI test,
but not when running an RCD trip test?
I had this problem the other day & went back today with two replacement RCD's.
I changed the RCD then tested. It did not trip.
Ungh?
Changed it for another RCD then tested. It did not trip.
Double ungh.....
Now paranoid my tester is up the creek, I get another brand out of the van (that does not physically fit) & that tests fine.
So I go to the wholesaler, get another that fits and that too is OK.
What's the chances of that?
I had one the other day that was faulty, so changed it with one off the van. Faulty again.
So that's three brand-new fresh-out-of-the-box RCD's I've fitted recently that are busted.
You wouldn't believe it....
