Im re-tiling a small roof above a ground floor bay window. There are two hips on the roof, but rather than use hip tiles I want to cut the ordinairy roof tiles and but them up against each other at the hip 'joint'. I think it looks neater, but I think it will be a more difficult job. Any suggestions on technique, or how-to guides you can recommend? Thanks.

It will look crap

It only takes a very slight misalignment of the courses, or hip line and you get a wonky dogs back leg effect.

And you need to cut the tiles on a compound angle too so they butt up tight
