Right I'm modernising my Kitchen, I have an old grey boiler programmer that I'd like to swap to my new programmer.

My old Programmer is a Potterton EP2002
My new Programmer is a Honeywell ST9400C

I read on a forum that it is possible to change over, however I didn't realise so many wires were involved! So here are some pictures:

Anyone any ideas? I'd appreciate any information!

Thanks in advance!

its not as straight forward as you think as the EP2002 can be used as a wiring centre and your new one cant you might be able to use terminal strip and cram everything into the recessed box

   Oh dear....

Link the B's together again and the C's also.

N's and L's should be obvious.

1, 3 and 4 are the same on both clocks, so it is only the L-5 wire that needs to be lost.

Oh right cool, so I don't need 5 at all? It was only linking to N anyway?

So B's together and pushed into backbox
C's together and pushed into backbox
N to N
L to L
1, 3, 4 is 1, 3, 4 on new programmer
and remove link from 5 to L

Thanks!! :)
