Hmm, further to woodyoulike's sticky topic. I've been looking at getting some engineered oak flooring supplied and fitted. Some of the advice and examples I've seen don't bear scrutiny, i.e. a quick google search and they're laminates when they're claimed to be engineered or engineered and not solid wood etc. I'm not saying that firms are dishonest, it seems more likely that they are as confused as I am by the mixed use of terms.
Obviously the advice is to check what you're getting before agreeing the order/contract.
Anyone know a good knowledgeable supply and install firm in the NorthWest?
