What shelf runners do you recommend?
I'm looking for runners for a shelf that will hold a crate of wine, so potentially up to 19kg. The crate will be sideways on - so the shelf will be long (500mm) and shallow (330mm). I love blum's movento runners on drawers, but the downside (aside from cost) is the extra space they take up on the underside. Space is a consideration, so I'm probably looking at runners that are screwed to the side of the shelf and therefore visible - unlike the moventos. It would be good to extend out as far as poss, but smooth running movement is preferable over length of extension.
My past experience with ball bearing type side-fixed runners like this is that they are great for extension, but aren't that smooth to pull out.
Do you have any recommendations?
