Refitting kitchen sink

I am refitting a kitchen sink, i cleaned all the old hard sealant from underneath the sink, whats best to use between the laminate worktop and the stainless steel sink, plumbers mate ?

clear silicone would be my choice, and a careful 20 minutes of making it neat & tidy
 
Dry fit your sink in its exact position.
Determine that all clips will work in that position.
Pencil round the sink outline.
Remove the sink.
Use decorators tape to tape up to the outside of the pencil line - dont go beyond it.
Apply a thin bead of clear silicone slightly back from the pencil line.
Prep the sink - waste & o/flow & clips etc.
Carefully drop the sink into position.
Carefully press down the sink rim - dont budge it.
Tighten up all clips.
Strip the tape and any squeezed out silicon.

Note that all tap holes etc & the sink cut-out should be water proof sealed prior to fitting the sink.
