I removed 3 storage heater, removing the bricks 1st before taking them off the wall, is it posible to replace the switches on wall with a single socket?. Or will i have to use blanks . [/code]

Storage heaters are normally only powered during the night, so you would need an electrician to reconfigure your storage heater fuse box to be powered all the time.
Also all 13A sockets require RCD protection, which it's likely your storage heater supplies will not provide.

Be careful, some older storage rads contain asbestos.
