I want to get rid of the shaver socket out of my bathroom.

Obv the socket itself is easy enough but what should i do about the wires ?

You must not leave the wires in the wall!

How many cables are there to the shaver socket, one, two??

The cables should be pulled up (usually) into the loft space and terminated or connected in a junction box.

Ive not taken it off yet so not sure how many wires are there etc.

I was kinda hopeing you could get a banking block or something

You can leave the box there with a blanking plate over it but you must not tile over the box. It has to remain visible to denote that there are killer cables in the walls.

And yes, they do kill.

Is a blanking plate that much better than a shaver socket?

I would have thought most people would rather have a functional accessory on a wall, even if they don't use it, than a blank piece of plastic just covering up a hole.
