A builder has attached the sink part of a toilet (desiged to save space, so it is in effect fitted on the top of the cistern), and has been glued in place with Flexi something similar to no more nails. The system part has developed a leak, but it is impossible to remove the toilet back from the MDF. It is attached to. Help please!!

The key is patience. Keep removing the adhesive, eventually there would be nothing left to remove. Once the adhesive is out of the way, look in the gap to see if there is any fixings there. Probe the gap with something long and flat, say a kitchen knife. The knife will also allow you to cut any adhesive inside the gap.

Thank you for your answers! We need to fix the cistern as it is dripping into the loo. Hubs is hero of day as kept at it with the bread knife- I sprayed it with lots of wd40 first - not sure if it helped or not. Adhesive was soft ish but def not silicone. Happy me! At least builder/plumber can come back now and fix the overflow thing!
