Hi,

Probably a very silly question but I thought it would be a good idea to check.

I have an old sky cable coming out of the wall in my living room. It is the cable coming through from the old sky dish on the roof - the dish isn't connected and hasn't been for some time, plus it's not plugged into anything. Is it OK just cut it with some strong scissors or am I going to get thrown across the room?

I know it seems silly but I don't want to be sitting in hospital with my hair standing on end saying "I wish I'd asked a forum"!!!

leave it incase you want it later.

but if you really must cut it off use the wire cutting edge on a pair of pliers,or a pair of side cutters

and if you are really worried wear a margold glove and a pair of wellies
this assumes it REALLY is the sky dish cable.

i would still leave it.

thanks.

i do really want to remove it (it's in the worse place, we're decorating so i can cover the hole plus we've had NTL for ages).

but i think might just double check that is is the sky cable ;)

if you hear about an electrocution in manchester you know what happened ;)
