Can anyone tell me how to remove a back box with red clips? (photo attached)

The logic makes sense, push back clips, pinch them together towards the middle of the box, pull whole box out.

But that doesn't work. I've been told if I keep applying pressure to get them towards the center of the box they'll pop out - they don't. They clearly have a bit of a red tab outside the box which then gets stopped by the plasterboard when pulling the whole box forward.

Any ideas/tips?

I've tried that :/ It's almost as if when you first put them in you clip them back and they go over a bump that you can't get them back over :/
I also haven't seen red ones anywhere in the shops, they are all blue or yellow clips. All mine in the house are red clips (sockets and switches)

There is no paint, the box comes free from the plaster, but there's red clip poking out of the outside of the box behind the plaster at the sides that doesn't seem to have a way to being pushed back into the box

With some types the clips slide straight towards the middle of box, with others the front of the clips "swing" toward the middle of the box, then you can slide the whole clip.

Another tip which is often useful for the latter type: Thread the screws back into the bosses on the retaining clips, then you can use them to gain a little more leverage.

Never did like these dry-lining boxes anyway - Horribly cheap and tacky.
