removing Ceramic floor tiles

We have the kitchen floor covered with ceramic floor tiles. If we wanted to fit laminate how can we get up all the adhesive as its like concrete and get back to a flat floor.

Can you not laminated flooring over it ?

Big hammer, bolster chisel, elbow grease, then get it levelled off if you damage the surface.
