We are removing a shower wall in our bathroom to install a bath. Does anyone know if there is a way to remove ceramic tiles cleanly so that I can perhaps save some of the tiles.

If the tiles were properly intalled then there is no way of separating them from the adhesive. If you manage to prise them off the wall without cracking them, it's likely that you'll drag some of the plaster off with them. It's probably best to leave them there and tile over them.

Remove top layer of tiles, Then pour boiling water into the recess between tile & wall this has worked for me

Just came across this old one, thought I would dig it out and ask:

Is this boiling water technique advisable? Obviously discounting the risk of scalding! Will it really make my tiles come off more easily?
